Why Babbu

"Babbu" is my daughter's word for ball. By the time she says it right, I'll have forgotten how it sounded.

Every toddler invents their own language: the mispronunciations, the made-up names, the sounds only you understand. Phones are full of photos, but these little words slip away. Babbu keeps them.

How it works

Card 1 of 5: babbu, meaning ball.

  1. Record their voice

One tap, right in the moment. The sound is the keepsake.

  2. Write how they say it

Spell it their way, then add what they mean. "Tup" is a cup, obviously.

  3. Keep it as a card

Each word gets its own illustrated card, so their whole little language grows into a collection.

One day it'll just be banana.

Every "babbu" becomes "ball" eventually. Keep the in-between.

Little promises

  • Private by default

Words, voices and photos stay on your phone. Share only with people you invite.

  • English, Català, Español

Made for families who mix languages, because toddlers certainly do.

  • No ads

Nothing to scroll past. Just your child's words.

  • Never used to train AI

Their voice is theirs. It's never sold, and never fed to a model.
